Smoking and pregnancy: Why not? pictures

Everyone knows that smoking is bad for you. It causes cancer, emphysema, and can rot your teeth. It seems obvious, but many people do not know the risks of smoking on a baby inutero. Cigarettes are full of nasty chemicals, such as nicotine, tar, and carbon monoxide. Ingesting these while pregnant can cause your baby to receive less oxygen, which is what helps your baby grow in the womb. Damage to the baby’s lungs is can also occur. Some common issues with moms-to-be who smoke include: ectopic pregnancies, bleeding of the vagina, stillbirth, and placental issues.? Many babies born to smoking moms have many medical issues. These can include cleft lip/palate and other birth defects, birthweight that is low, and prematurity. Many of these issues can create lifelong disabilities, such as cerebral palsy or learning problems. Maybe you stopped smoking, but others are still around you smoking. This secondhand smoke is no better for your child. Low birthweight is still a possibility, but other issues are involved as well.
