Many people have heard the term Zen, but dont really know what its about. Well, Im here to help explain it some. Zen is really about helping those who think logically all the time to become more of logical and poetic/spiritual thinkers. In fact, its basically a stripped down version of Buddhism. But how do we do that? Well, there are three steps that one must follow in order to become a poetic/spiritual thinker. Step One is where the person will learn to meditate and find an inner calm, while the mind itself is clear of distractions. This is relatively easy, though it may take some concentration (something most rational thinkers can deal with). One of the toughest parts for many people is dealing with the aches and pains of sitting for long periods of time. Often people are then given a tough riddle to work out in their mind. What this does is give you the chance to use your logic and creativity, as well as allow you to show your mentor that they can trust you to work hard and be dedicated. These steps often lead the patient to find a wide array of emotions that they can let out. This is the third step. This method will help a person prove to themselves that they can do what they put their mind to, even if it is something very difficult and challenging. This experience can also give the logical thinker a new perspective on life and problem-solving, which can carry over into other areas of life, sometimes even including a career. So why not give it a shot?
