The history of acupuncture pictures

Many people have heard of acupuncture and know that it comes from China. But we don’t really know the history of it. Acupuncture has been around for 2,000 years, but some people say it’s been around as long as 4,000 years. Many people believe that this therapy began back in the Stone Ages using sharp edged tools or stone knives. Eventually, these stones were replaced with needles, which then were made of stone and pottery. The classic ‘nine needle’ then began appearing; these are the first metal needles to be used in acupuncture. These needles were made up of an arrowhead, used for superficial pricking; round needles used for massaging; a blunt needle used for pressing or knocking; a three-edged needled used for puncturing veins; and a large needle used to puncture joints that hurt or are painful. These needles were originally made from gold, silver, or bronze, and these have been around for about 2,000 years. Acupuncture points are grouped as systems, and these systems are said to conduct the flow of energy throughout the body, energy that is vital to keeping us healthy. The proper points can help us relieve pain, stop smoking, and reduce chemotherapy symptoms. Now that you know the history of acupuncture, you should decide if it is something that you want to do. With so many ailments that it cures, it will help you.
